Road to Hana

August, 16 2013

Aly and I stayed the night at our new friend Aaron's house. What a beautiful, simple cabin in Haiku. We woke up to a hot breakfast, ready for the unexpected adventure in Hana. Hana in Hawaiian mean "work". He also had this amazing fresh coffee.... yummy coffee.... It was raining most of the day, so Aaron took us to the around the other side of Hana first. Most of the waterfalls were heavily flowing so we couldn't jump off or play in most of them. We were hoping to get some banana bread and coconut candy, but we didn't make it out to a stand in time.... On the other hand we saw some pretty amazing things. I didn't get a picture of this underwater cave, but I sat where the Princess Popoalaea sat before she was found and killed.

Fresh coconut water... FREAKIN BOMB!!

Rainbow Trees:)

Black Sand Beach

This beach is my favorite! It is called Black Sand Beach, but it's really covered with black rocks. Legend says that Madame Pele lived on Oahu with her father and older sister. Pele had such a temper and was always fighting with her sister, and her father sent her to Maui. There she made volcanoes, but every time one would erupt her sister (Goddess of the Sea) would put the volcano out. There was a huge battle between the two Goddesses, leading to the release of Pele's soul. Madame Pele's soul is heard to be living in the Kilauea volcano, which is still actively erupting. Pele's temper is just as strong as it was years ago. A caution to those visiting the island to leave the black rocks where they are. If they leave, a curse is sure to follow.
It started to pour! me+rain=<3

Red Sand Beach

Just a heads up this is a nude beach. Yes there is a naked woman in my hand, and her husband was not to far away... HAHA!

Venus Pool. The rocks were so warm! I could have been here all day.

Kiko Beach.

Peace and Blessing- GloZell (youtube her)

On our way to the first big waterfall!

The roads are really curvy. I didn't get too carsick, all thanks to our local driver who knew how to take the turns.

After the rainstorm

Yummy Thai food!

Oheo (Seven not-so-sacred Pools)

Most people refer to them as the Seven Sacred Pools, but that was a name someone made up. Clearly it has stuck.

I had a beautiful time in Hana! Aly and I left hungry and went to The Fish Market for dinner. Can't wait to head back up and get some banana bread and coconut candy. Aloha!!

Spontaneous Combustion

Sporadic Moments~ ENJOY!

Working out like a BEAST!

Another beautiful day at Del Sol

My need for animal love has led me to the neighbors two twin kitties. They are outside cats and so lovie!! I find them chilling outside the door of my apartment, or they just walk in our apartment if we leave the door open. They know my voice so if I call them they come! Presh<3

Black Rock

That womanly figure is my roomie Aly
And that blob you see descending from the cliff is Koa

These next few pictures are taken at Kaanapali Beach.

Second Friday- Lahaina

Believe it or not we didn't know each other before this internship. We are together all day, everyday. In the past few weeks we have been together we are becoming more and more in sync with each other. Without even talking we will leave the house and find we are wearing similar outfits or colors. Example 1: The photo above.... hahaha! You can't see her strip colors well until the last picture, but they are the same color as my shirt!

HAVE A FANTASTIC DAY!!
