Expect the Unexpected

Series of Unfortunate Events

As you can tell by the picture below we are best friends. Every time we are together something happens. The adventure we encountered this weekend was filled with tears, laughter and spontaneous fun!
The first day we went to Napili Bay. The weather was beautiful and this was the first beach Amanda and my new roommate Chelsey have seen here in Maui. The beginning of the surprises began when the peak of a wave came over our little set up and soaked all our belongings. One item in this group was Amanda's Iphone. She quickly dried it off and we went into the ocean to rinse off our towels of the sand. I went to do my towel and didn't set my phone down by the other wet stuff and just stuck it under my swimsuit strap. Dumb idea lead to my phone rolling the waves with the ocean. The mood was a bit sour after that, but we had a busy day ahead of us! We left for Paia and ate at my favorite place, Paia Fish Market! We met up with Chelsey's friends and continued on to the bamboo forest. We hit up Costco on the way home and now our fridge is full of food!! NO COMPLAINTS!!
The second day started with Amanda and I trying to work out our phone dilemma and I went to work later that afternoon. When I got off Chelsey and I ran to the store and Redbox. The night ended with Amanda, Chelsey, Kaliko and I eating brownies and watching "This Is The End"!
The third day we went to Kaanapali Beach and jumped off Black Rock! We also had an issue with our wifi, and my computer was being dumb. Later that night Amanda and I went to sushi at Sansei with my other to coworkers.
The last day Amanda and I went to Slaughterhouse Beach for two seconds. Amanda doesn't really like ants and they were everywhere. We went back to Napili Bay and decided to snorkel. After Amanda was done packing we went to Kapalua Beach to see the sunset. Since Amanda arrived the weather has been really cloudy, and she has yet to see a beautiful sunset. We made it to the beach in time and watched the sunset. Before we left the house I packed us some dinner so we had a picnic by the beach. Dessert was from Duke's; a delicious, made-with-love Hulu Pie. Amanda couldn't leave without Hawaii Gelato.

Last picture... Goodbye for now, not for forever

I loved having her visit me here in Maui! It was a dose of home that I've been missing! I hated seeing her leave, but we have been talking and another visit is in order next month!!! When she left I was sad and bummed so I went to Walmart picked up a bag of animal crackers and did my nails! Aren't they super cute!
